Under the Weather?

Okay, I had a good time with this one!

After months of doing challenges like my life depended on it, it now feels funny when I *DON'T* do them. Since the kids and I got back from our vacation, I'm finally feeling like we're getting back in the swing of things. And this card makes me feel like I'm back in the challenge swing. I know it drives some folks batty - but I really enjoy combining challenges. I think it helps me to get my juices flowing. It also seems to make the cards more interesting and FUN!

This card hit FOUR challenges!
1. CopicsColourChallenge : use R02,E33,E57
I used R02 for some shading on the forehead area, then added a little R20 for the cheeks, and blended that with E00. I also did her hands with E00. I used E57 for the umbrella's handle and Willow's shoes. I used E33 for the hair. I used B23 (and the blender) for the jeans and the apron, with RV21 and RV23 for the shirt and umbrella. I used BG10 to outline the rain.
2. FUNKY FAIRY : Get Well
I used the paisley love in a lovely brown that I thought matched really well with the copic colors required. (I adore these papers, I bought them long before I dreamed of being on the design team.) I also did my "get well"-ish sentiment on the computer so it would fit :D
3. Whiff of Joy : SKETCH! (and use a WOJ stamp)
I followed the sketch pretty closely. I used my paisley punch (Creative Memories) to do the scallop-y border along the bottom. I also cut out my image with my paisley nestie set (instead of leaving it a plain rectangle).
4. Spoon Full of Sugar : Touchy Feely (get some texture goin')
I put texture on the card in a couple ways. First, I used my edge distresser on all the edges (then inked them). Second, I used pop-dotted rain drops -- they're very smooth and shiny.

I think that probably gives you all my details so enjoy them ;)

You could add a fifth challenge . . . Moxie Fab World is hosting a challenge to create an encouragement card with a rainy day theme :0) I made it to 4 with the card I did . . .was pretty proud of myself on that one!

Have a great day!
