Stamps and Smiles

Well, this was a big (and fun) undertaking for me! I found the big Stamps and Smiles Sneak Peek & Preview challenges today. You can see the blog here. They had FOUR sketches for you to do, if you participate in all 4, you have a chance to win the whole release! WOWZERS! Would that be awesome or what?

So, as you may have guessed, tonight was a busy night for me since these are all due Friday morning! (Also, it was even busier... I did all the dishes, cooked a nice dinner, did two loads of laundry, watched parts of Narnia with Cameron, helped Chloe to sharpen about 13 pencils, and watched some TV with the hubby.) But, by 11pm, all of it was done! Whew.

The cards are very simple. I *LOVE* the sketches on this blog. They never seem to stress me out! I also used only 2 different paper lines for all 4 cards... Funky Fairy "Ecclectic Lurve" - this is an AWESOME set. It has a TON of wonderful stuff in it. It's got flowers, distressed, hearts, dots, a way cool "LOVE" book template, tags, frames, you name it! Go HERE to buy it. Also, go HERE to check out the rest of the Funky Fairy products. And then go HERE to check out the inspiration blog (BTW, it has some freeeeeee downloads)!! (Someday I will be on the design team page, but our valiant leader is busy creating more wonderful products for all of YOU!!) The other paper line I used is from PaperTrey - all the plain cardstock accents.

I used my fave "technique" on these cards -- inking. I inked the edges. I punched a couple flowers, used some dewdrops, hand cut some faux photo corners, used Creative Memories cutting system for the circles and ovals, also used a cuttlebug embossing folder on that first one.

Oh my, I nearly forgot - the stamp! It is a digi! Is she not THE CUTEST FUNKY FAIRY TO EVER EXIST? You read that right! She is a funky fairy! She is also available at the FF download site linked above. For a (GREAT) price, you get 9 (yes that is NINE) different pictures of her, and it comes with her by herself, or with her own matching frames.

Okay, fork me, I'm soooooooo done. Where's my pillow?

ENJOY (please)
