Thinking of you!

I just adore this stamp! I colored this image a week or two ago and I've been holding on to him for some crazy reason. (Just looking at him makes me smile!)

I was looking through my challenge list and found three that I wanted to try to combine. I think it challenges me even more to take more than one challenge and combine them. I still have to follow the rules, the themes, the suggestions - and somehow smoosh it all together and have it turn out pretty. The three challenges I decided to put together to honor this cute little guy are as follows:

1. Whiff of Joy challenge: Use green - and a WOJ stamp

2. A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge: use some gems and bling out baby

3. MOJO Monday challenge: use the following sketch

So to my deeeeets!

1. Too meet the demands on my WOJ challenge -- sweet little Matthew is certainly WOJ. And as far as using green paper - I chose a green bazzilllll (how many z's and how many l's does that actually have?) and I chose 2 green patterned papers from my Me & My Big Ideas newest slab. (I matted matthew in brown because I didn't have another shade of green cardstock that I thought matched - and I thought the brown cardstock would help draw in the brown inking I did on the edges of everything.) Oh, and I added the cute green fiber. I had a couple patterned ribbons in green (and even one that matched) but I wanted to add some more texture.

2. I repositioned my little gems about 49 times (just kidding - that's Chloe's number of the day though and it makes me giggle) before I settled on this one. I thought about making a little design with them in the bottom right corner, I thought about accenting the funky pattern on the left with them, I thought about putting them in all four corners, but I finally decided I really liked it with just the 2 corners blinged.

3. Mojo sketch... I obviously turned it sideways - that's the ONLY (teeny tiny insignificant) downfall of matthew - he's on the big side. I didn't do a bow on a ribbon, I did a knot on a fiber. I really stayed pretty true to the sketch (other than blinging the corners, I guess).

I guess that's all I've got for you, enjoy!

I love it! You did a great job. Love that green paper! (And I don't like green, so it must be pretty paper, lol.)

That is too funny - I used the SAME stamp for the WOJ challenge. It wasn't the one I was planning on using - I was originally going to use the fairy with the flower. That is too weird that I changed it to the same image you used!

Great card. I don't work as many challenges as you do but I have combined challenges before (color challenges are easy to combine with sketch challenges). I ought to try doing more challenges but they often want it done in a certain amount of time - time I often don't have.
