Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #58

Another fun challenge that was due on Sunday (3/8). I got the picture of my card loaded to my picasa web album on time, but wasn't finished with the blog post yet.

First, check out this lady's killer blog.

If you didn't look through enough of her posts, she lists this challenge here. It's a sketch challenge...

I couldn't decide what to do, but obviously, the girl has a thing for cupcakes. This was the only image I could think of off the top of my head that had a cupcake in it. I colored it in with my copics, then went to cut it up. Oh my, it is not easy to divide 3.5 inches into even pieces. They're as close to perfect as me and my broken trimmer could get! LOL!
I decided the icing/whipped cream on top needed some sparkle in the form of icicle stickles. I wanted a ribbon on the bottom and thought the hot pink was nice with the cupcake wrapper being hot pink.

And finally, with my fascination of humorous cards lately... I thought of - "Don't fall to pieces..." (obviously a bad pun for the image being all cut up) and the inside says, "It's just another birthday." I actually ran the cardstock right through my printer to get the sentiment on the inside. Sometimes I print it on cardstock and just adhere to the inside of the card with a matching mat, but sometimes I will go to the trouble of lining things up in a Word document and running the cardstock thru.

Anyhow, enjoy!
