TWO Birthday Cards

I had two challenges I wanted to do for today, but they were both sketches, so I decided to do both! Here's the first!

Details ---
Challenge is HERE
STamp - Penny Black (seeD's sentiment)
Papers - MemoryMakers
Colored with COPICS! Copics used - YR23/E35 (giraffe), W1/W7 (cat), Y21/YG03 (hats & balloon), E35/E47 (dog), G85/G94 (turtle), R29(ladybug)

CARD TWO!!!

Details!
Stamp - Chloe fairy (with a daughter named Chloe, how could I resist this TGF stamp?)
Papers - FUNKY FAIRY (go shopping HERE right now)
Coloring - Copics
Embellished with cute flowershaped ribbon from Michael's, flowergems from colorbok, and dewdrops
CHALLENGES:
1. HERE - use flowers and bling
2. HERE - use a fairy or a butterfly and a sentiment
3. HERE - use letters and numbers
4. HERE - SKETCH
My thoughts on the cards.... the first one - fun for a girl or a boy (slinky slinky whoops... you'd have to know what a slinky is and have heard that commercial a million times like me). Also, I really like the prize on that challenge. Hmmm... I like coloring that image! It is big but, not tooo big, and not too hard to color either - plus, I can color a bunch with the animals colored but leave the hats and balloon and stuff until I make the card. Pre-work is always good. It gives me something to do when sitting around watching tv or camping or whatever, and it is SO SO handy to have an image mostly colored that you can pop on a card and just fill in spots to match!
The second card... I *ADORE* this stamp. Not just because she's named Chloe either! She's so cute. I colored her in greens first. I've been accused of being a "green girl" apparently it is a go to color for me. Green and brown. I recently found some old kits from Funky Fairy that I reallllly love and just had to use. The awesome flowered background is from the Funky Garden collection. So darn awesome. Couldn't wait to print and use those as soon as I saw them! I also used some gorgeous gingham to mat the lil fairy girl. Also, the sketch called for a scallop border below the photo, but I don't have a scallop punch and I kind of hate my scallop-ish deco scissors, and I remembered this adorable pink flowered ribbon stuff that I couldn't resist in the dollar bin at michael's. That gets me flowers and covers the scallop! I added little rhinestone flowers for the bling and as "centers" for the flowers. I wasn't sure what sentiment to use to get letters and numbers, but I figured that I will need a bday card for Chloe next march... so if this doesn't get used before then... talk about working ahead!
That is all. Enjoy my cards. And your day. And your life. Cuz you'll just be happier if you do. (enjoy my cards that is.)
