Flopsy Studies

Well, I had to make something for the MFT Challenge. We're in week 5 (and that's post-original 'try-out'). Here is my card:

There wasn't really a theme this week. It was a total free-for-all --> they said we could do whatever we wanted, but the contestants get the week off. This challenge was JUST for the "JUDGES" (meaning - the general public).

There are multiple reasons I made this card. First, I always feel like I'm in a different (like way below) league than everyone else. They make these huge sets and have lots of different stamps and gobs of embellishments and everything looks so perfect and fancy and all I ever make are simple cards. Second, I could have tried to put together some sort of set, but I just feel too intimidated and unskilled to pull it off. Third, I found THIS cute sketch and thought I could maybe jazz it up with the ribbon/button things. Finally, I guess I just wanted to really focus on the stamps - and this is how I felt I could do that.

I printed the new and "improved" book titles on my printer and trimmed them down. I colored then attached. I tied a knot in the alpha ribbon and attached the button on top. I think that's all the pertinent info...

Details: Cardstocks are Papertrey, patterned paper is from DCWV, buttons are American Crafts, Ribbon is from Michael's, floss is from Walmart, and Flopsy is of course from MFT, and I colored him with copics.

enjoy

I think this card is adorable! Your coloring is perfect. I have yet to enter the Copic world! I feel a little intimidated too about all of the entires every week. But I figure "What the Heck!" It's fun and if I get a couple of positive comments then it's all good :0)
