Whiff of Joy - Guest Designer

I absolutely ADORE the Whiff of Joy stamps. I ordered some last week and I'm stalking my mailbox waiting to see that envelope from the Swiss Post. (And only a little bit because I'm excited to get mail from the company directly... I mean... I've never gotten mail from Switzerland before. The other WOJ stamp I have I got from a company in the US.)

When I found out that WOJ was looking for a guest designer (see this blog), I nearly fell off my chair with giddiness. I was hoping that I might get my new stamps in time to use one of them, but they aren't here yet and I didn't want to wait too long!

Also, I was afraid you couldn't see some of the cool detail I put in there -- I popped the umbrella -- as you can see a little better in the following pictures.

I stamped the image a second time, then did a silhouette cut on just the top of the umbrella. I colored both umbrellas the same (in case the recipient of the card gets curious, teehee). Then I used pop dots to 3-D it out from the page a bit. I don't have any big scallops I really liked for this card, but I had this cool orange fiber that would make a nice interpretation and add a little more oomph to the card. All the papers are from K & Co. I colored Willow with my copics. Oh, and I love this quote about friendship. I think it is important to put a sentiment on the inside of cards most of the time- the inside of this one says, "Rain or shine, I'm there for you!"

I really hope that this will be enough to get me on the team, but if not, I hope everyone enjoys looking.
