Mom, if you're looking at my blog - don't look at this one, you'll ruin your surprise.

I liked this simple sketch. I couldn't think of any stamps I had that would make a big panel, but I wanted to put something together for my mom from my kids - for mother's day or just as a thank you love you you're the best - type thing. I will probably have them make something themselves too, but these two little kiddos from the Lily and Billy Sweethearts - from the Pink Cat Studio - were just perfect for a love you grandma card.
I really like this sunflowery paper (whimsy blossoms TAC pack)- so I colored kiddos clothes to match. I suppose I should have darkened the hair on the girl more and lightened the hair on the boy a little so that they looked more like Cameron and Chloe, but oh well! I didn't want to overwhelm the pattern and/or the flowers, so I decided to just use two shades of brown to accent. I had the ribbon with similar flowers. I decided instead of being disappointed with an 'almost' matching flower, I just cut a flower from my leftover piece of patterned paper, then trimmed it to the size I liked and popped it off the page with some pop dots. I put some ink on the edges of everything, including the flower.
enjoy!
