Happy Easter!

I found out about a group holding a design team challenge, it is due today.

You can find their awesome blog here.

Their challenge was to make something with a "spring" theme. Whenever I think of spring... I think of Easter, so, I found this cute little house mouse stamp and created this card.
I remembered another challenge that this card would work for! Yay, combinations make me so happy. The challenge at this blog due on 3/22/09 was to put something edible on your creation - and little Mr. mouse has some edible looking jelly beans!

The two light blue-green patterned papers are from TAC. The cardstocks are all from PaperTrey. The flowers are prima's and the little gems are from Colorbok. The ribbon was from Lisa.
I tied the little bow using the fork method. I sewed the little mouse to the mats using my Janome Sew Mini. I trimmed the sentiment and the mat using my Creative Memories cutting system.
Here is a close up!
An admission -- I am still VERY new at sewing and I accidentally sewed one extra hole that I didn't want. I pulled the thread back through the holes, and overlapped the edge of the mat with the blue-green flower to cover the extra hole in the middle of nowhere! So, whenever you think you make a mistake - you're wrong. You've just given yourself another opportunity for creativity.
Here's another view:
I'm off to go play play-dough with the kids. Good times :D
Enjoy!
